Meet Senator Russ Feingold

As he speaks to support AB 1648, the California DISCLOSE Act

at the home of Stephanie Grossman in Palo Alto

3:30 to 5:30 pm
Saturday, May 19th

for hors d'oeuvres, wine & an inspiring discussion with

former Senator Russ Feingold

as he explains why it's so important to stop Super PACs and the special interests paying for ballot measures from hiding their contributors from voters.

AB 1648, the California DISCLOSE Act, will do that in California by requiring the top three actual funders of political ads – not the made-up committee names – to be listed in large, easy-to-read font along with their logos.  It will be a game-changer, especially for ballot measures and California Super PACs

Russ Feingold is the Founder of Progressives United and represented Wisconsin in the United States Senate for eighteen years.  He's well known for leading the fight for campaign finance reform in the Senate and has always championed efforts to limit the influence of special interests.

You'll also hear directly from Trent Lange, President of the California Clean Money Campaign, the sponsor of AB 1648.

The California DISCLOSE is the first step we can take to fight Citizens United.  Senator Feingold believes AB 1648 is a major step in the right direction because it will shine a bright light on funders of political ads so special interests cannot keep voters in the dark.  And that will make a huge difference in who wins campaigns and which ballot measures pass.

Please be as generous as possible because we need all the resources we can get to lead the grassroots against lobbyists for some of the largest special interests in the state who are trying to kill AB 1648!

Can't come or co-host? Then please make a donation or become a member of the California Clean Money Campaign.
